Combining over 40 years of experience in upholstery for multiple industries, Managing Director Chris Medley and Company Director Chris Green initially joined forces to launch Gym Wizard. Focused on repairing and reupholstering gym equipment pads, they soon found themselves with an impressive client list that includes David Lloyd Clubs, Anytime Fitness, multiple gyms and Premier League Football clubs.

Recognising the same need for safe, hygienic and comfortable padding, they then branched out as Medi-Wizard to cater for health and well-being centres. Finally, they formed YORX, to provide a high-quality on-site reupholstery service across multiple sectors with clients including David Lloyd, Hilton, Marriott, Best Western, Holiday Inn and many more.

Managing Director

Chris looks after the day-to-day running of the business and is the main point of contact for the clients. Chris has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years and brings a wealth of experience to the role. He also spent a few years in motor sport handling logistics for race teams. He has used this knowledge in equipping and fitting out Gym Wizard’s mobile workshop vehicles.

Chris Green, sometimes known as Chris 2 to make things easier, is the company’s upholstery wizard, looking after projects and staff both onsite and at our manufacturing base in Lancashire. Chris has worked in the industry for over 20 years and in that time has upholstered just about everything that needs recovering, from standard gym pads to bespoke furniture and vehicle seats.
